Many people could use numerous words to describe Mrs. Rachel Bullock, but a sweet giving soul is how I describe her. She did not want to have her name on a list as a volunteer, but she, with all her being, wanted to serve and be a blessing to others. She never met a stranger and wanted to make her life count for something and use her time wisely. She loved to work with her hands and was constantly wanting to use her talents to bless our patients and their families. Her talent was making handmade angels for our memorial services. She did this faithfully for twenty years. Every year she would create a special angel, and it was always hand-stitched and hand-painted if necessary. Every stitch was placed with love and compassion for a family that was served by Hospice Ministries. We could all learn so much from this sweet lady. She found a way to bring joy to others by using her God-given talents and continued to do so every year until she became our patient. Mrs. Rachel is a part of the heartbeat of hospice Ministries. She lives on through her beautiful angels even after she has gone.
